IRAN'S CONTROVERSIAL TYRANT
He is pushing hard to creat a Nuclear
capability making
Iran a major danger to the world.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, born Oct. 28, 1956, is
the 6th and current president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Before becoming president in 2005, he was the Mayor of Tehran.
He is strengthening relations with Russia, is a critic of
President Bush, and even though the UN is pushing for Iran
to stop their nuclear program, he refuses to discontinue it.
He has made some of the most provocative and controversial
statements ever made, some bordering on the ridiculous. He
promised that Israel "must be wiped off the map."
He has aggressively argued that the Holocaust never happened.
He is well educated and holds a PHD in traffic
and transport engineering and planning from the University
of Science and Technology in Tehran. He has been accused of
being involved in the 1979 American Embassy takeover, however
the accusation is questioned.

Ahmadinejad received 62% of the vote in the
presidential race with ex-President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
A significant portion of Iran's revenues is derived from oil.
He calls for monetary assistance for low income families,
as well as an increase in workers salaries. The Iranian family
previously had been encouraged to have only two children,
however he disagreed and said Iran could cope with 50 million
more than the 70 million it now has. Iran has been struggling
with inflation and unemployment, estimated to be around 25%.
A surge in population would lead to a strain on the economy.
By using oil revenues he is pushing to financially help young
people to get married, and help them buy their own home. His
announcement that he was reversing a ruling which prevented
women from watching men's sports activities in stadiums was
soundly criticized.
He is a strong supporter of Iran's nuclear program,
and said the advance of nuclear technology was for peaceful
purposes and not to build bombs. On Nov. 15, 2006, the Iranian
President announced that "today the Iranian nation possesses
the full nuclear fuel cycle". He has sent a letter to
President Bush that proposes "new ways" to end the
two countries nuclear dispute. He challenged President Bush
to a television debate on his nuclear plan. It was promptly
rejected. He works with Vladimir Putin of Russia on the nuclear
issue. Both are looking for greater cooperation.
His statements against Israel are an embarrassment
to anyone's intelligence. He refers to Israel as a "disgraceful
stain on the Islamic world", and must be "wiped
off the map". He is personally a threat to Israel's existence,
proposing genocide. He claims Israel is acting "just
like Hitler". He has also said that every Iranian has
a duty to kill all Americans. His hatred of Israel goes even
further, he says "Israel is about to crash. This is God's
promise and the wish of all the worlds nations". Ahmadinejad
is adamant in his charge that the holocaust never happened.
His "International Conference to Review the Global Vision
of the Holocaust" opened to widespread condemnation.
The conference was called for and held by the authority of
Ahmadinejad and is known as a Holocaust denial conference.
It is not difficult to see where this is going.
He has excited the Islamic people to hate Israel and America,
and to actually plan on their complete destruction. He is
a very dangerous leader and an insult to humanity. If his
following continues to grow the US will be forced to make
a decision as to the course of action.
He is a great friend of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela,
two persons full of hatred. The following is an Associated
Press article which bluntly spells out his intentions.
Iran, Venezuela Offer To Finance Efforts To
Defeat U.S. Domination.
Caracas, Venezuela - Venezuela's Hugo Chavez
and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad- fiery anti-American leaders
whose moves to extend their influence have alarmed Washington
- said Saturday they would help finance investment projects
in other countries seeking to thwart U.S. domination.
The two countries had previously revealed plans for a joint
two billion fund to finance investments in Venezuela and Iran,
but the leaders said Saturday the money would also be used
for projects in friendly countries throughout the developing
world.
"It will permit us to underpin investments
above all in those countries whose governments are making
efforts to liberate themselves from the (U.S.) imperialist
yoke," Chavez said. "This fund, my brother,"
the Venezuelan president said, referring affectionately to
Ahmadinejad, "will become a mechanism for liberation."
"Death to the U.S. imperialism!" he
said.
